The typical cost of air conditioning repair ranges between $200 and $2,000, with the average homeowner spending roughly $350. If you’re facing frequent, expensive repairs, you may want to consider weighing the cost of service and repair against an AC replacement. If your air conditioning repairs cost more than half the price of a replacement, installing a new system may be more cost-effective in the long run.
Air conditioning units typically last around 10-15 years. If your AC unit is old and you find that you are having to repair it more than once a year, it may be time to replace your unit. Other signs include:
- AC runs all the time without stopping.
- Warm air is coming from your AC vents.
- Your air conditioner produces horrible noises or foul odors.
- You’re noticing a lot more humidity in your home.
A tankless water heater maintenance visit will typically cost between $150.00 and $200.00. A tankless water heater should be cleaned and tuned up once a year to remove any mineral deposits or silt that could impede water flow, and to ensure that the heating elements are in good working order. If you do not, this issue may cause your tankless hot water heater to fail.
